On the afternoon of October 13th down in Georgetown, TX, I was successful in passing my Private Pilot checkride and earning my license! As far as aspirations go when I was a little kid, I don’t think I ever could have predicted obtaining such a privilege at the age of 17, but through lots of sweat (thankfully mitigated by in-plane air conditioning, yes, I am spoiled) and effort that has been built up over the past year or so, I’m proud to be able to call myself a Private pilot. Thank you to everyone who gave me words of encouragement, and thank you to this chapter for fostering such a fantastic environment for kids and adults alike to bond over this wonderful thing we 
call aviation. I’m looking forward and to the sky to the future opportunities this license gives me!
