Bicycles<\/h3>\n

How do people travel to Airventure?\u00a0 Many of those in Camp Schoeler do it by bicycle, and they all park them in the big bike coral. I\u2019m amazed every time at the number of bikes in there.<\/p>\n

Denali Debut<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Beechcraft Denali<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

After years of mock-ups, we finally got the rest of the Beechcraft Denali, and it looks spectacular. It looking very much like the Pilatus PC 12, which is the market segment it competes in. Gone are many of the smaller twin engine aircraft, being replaced by the larger single engine turbo props.<\/p>\n

The Interior configuration of the Denali is a six-seat executive interior with a refreshment center included or buyers can opt for a nine-seat commuter configuration.<\/p>\n

Beechcraft Denali<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

The GE Catalyst powers this new design and is the first clean-sheet turboprop engine in more than 30 years. It\u2019s FADEC controls allow for single lever operation including Auto Throttle. It has 1350 shp, which can propel the craft at a max cruising speed of 285 kts and a 1600 km range (4 seat). It is also certified with Garmin\u2019s Autoland feature for emergency pilot incapacitation.<\/p>\n

Price tag estimated to be near $7 million. Did I mention that it has Autoland.<\/p>\n

Pushing the Dreamlifter<\/strong><\/h3>\n

\"\"<\/a>Bring big aircraft usually means bring the equipment to move them around.\u00a0 When the Martin Mars visited Oshkosh, it also brought 4 semi tractors and trailers that hauled the mooring platform need to station the behemoth\u00a0 farther out in lake Winnebago.<\/p>\n

The Dreamlifter was flown to Oshkosh this year to be on display in Boeing Square.\u00a0 To get it into position, they needed the largest aircraft tug I have ever seen.\u00a0 I was equally impressed with that machine as the Dreamlifter itself.<\/p>\n
